My Thoughts on “The Fifth Element”

  (This is the poster for The Fifth Element .) I honestly never thought that I would review this movie, but after I mentioned it in my Weekend in Taipei review , I couldn’t stop thinking about it. I had to rewatch it and write a review of it. So, indulge me as I take a trip down memory lane and review this sci-fi action comedy classic. Now, this is a childhood movie of mine, I first saw it at a very young age and I instantly fell in love with it. It was one of my favorite movies growing up, and even after all these years, I still enjoy it, it still holds up. It is easily Luc Besson’s best movie by far, at least of the ones that I’ve seen that he’s directed. It’s better than Lucy , it’s better than Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets , and it’s better than Anna . I’ve never seen La Femme Nikita , Léon: The Professional, The Messenger: The Story of Joan of Arc ,  Arthur and the Invisibles , or The Lady ♀︎ , or Dogman  🐕 (which was released in France 🇫🇷 in 2023 b...
