Donald Trump Has Won the 2024 Election πŸ—³️ 😞

Image
(This is the flag of the United States πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ.) Well, the 2024 Election πŸ—³️ is over pretty much and…the worst case scenario has happened: Trump has won 😞. No one on our side, the pro-democracy side, was really expecting this. They thought that Kamala Harris had this in the bag, and that she was going to win this. Momentum seemed to be our side and not theirs. But they were all wrong. We were all wrong. I am pretty disappointed in the result, and I’m pretty disappointed in this country, like, what happened? Did all you Democrats sit this one out? Did all you progressives, Palestine supporters πŸ‡΅πŸ‡Έ, Arab-Americans πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ did you sit this one out or vote for Jill Stein? Was swallowing your pride and voting for Harris just too much for you that you just decided to hand the country over to a man ♂︎ who will be a thousand times worse for Gaza, Palestinians πŸ‡΅πŸ‡Έ, and Arabs as a whole than Biden ever was? I originally wrote this in response to a video that Cody had done on his alternate history channel, AlternateHistoryHub, about the Soviet-Afghan War πŸ‡¦πŸ‡«☭. Specifically, it was in response to a comment he had made regarding the war when he said that it was the "Syria πŸ‡ΈπŸ‡Ύ of the 80s" due to the presence of foreign fighters in the conflict, including Islamists ☪️, joining to fight the Soviets ☭. And I just couldn't help but disagree more. Afghanistan πŸ‡¦πŸ‡« was not the "Syria πŸ‡ΈπŸ‡Ύ of the 80s," Lebanon πŸ‡±πŸ‡§ was.  When you look at the conflicts that took place around this time in the Middle East and Central Asia, which is where the Soviet-Afghan War πŸ‡¦πŸ‡«☭ took place, the Lebanese Civil War πŸ‡±πŸ‡§ is probably the most similar to the Syrian Civil War πŸ‡ΈπŸ‡Ύ of today. Like the Syrian Civil War πŸ‡ΈπŸ‡Ύ, it was a multifaceted and multiparty conflict, including many militia groups and insurgent groups all vying fo...
